Day 1 :

ITINERARY 

PANAMA CITY, CASCO VIEJO & THE CANAL Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning from the hotel and with your guide for a visit of the city. See the colonial town, also called the Casco Antiguo, registered on the UNESCO World Heritage in 1980. Along the Pacific, between the Plaza Francia and the Plaza Bolivar, wander around churches and houses from the colonial era. Lunch in a typical restaurant in Casco Viejo, where traditional meets modernity. In afternoon, discover the stunning Canal from the Miraflores Locks where you will see the impressive passage of ships of every kind. Return at the hotel in late afternoon. Free diner. 

Day 3 :

PORTOBELO AND THE PANAMA CANAL RAILWAY Breakfast at the hotel. You will leave Panama City early in the morning to join the Caribeean Coast along the “ Camino Real ”, an old road used by the merchants who carried treasures from the Incas that were exchanged for cheap products from Europ. In addition of the magnificient remnants of a tumultuous past, admire the fort of San Lorenzo and the fort of San Jeronimo, both registered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has kept strong religious and cultural traditions, as the veneration of the Black Christ and the Diablos y Congos African Caribeean Festival, celabrated each year to commemorate the colonial past of Portobelo. Guided tour and lunch in a typical restaurant.

Around 16 : 00, reach the city of Colón where you will hop in the mythical train still decorated like in the Gold Rush time. You will go along the Canal, allowing you to see the magnificient nature around and admire the beauty of the construction of the Canal. Arrived at Los Rios train station, a private vehicle will take you back to your hotel in Panama City. Free diner. 

Day 4 & 5 :

   SAN BLAS ARCHIPELAGO : A TRIP IN PARADISE Very early in the morning, transfer in a private car from your hotel to the Albrook National Airport for a one-hour flight to the San Blas Archipelago, into the Caribeen Sea. A local of your lodge will meet you at the airport over there. By boat, reach the island where you are staying. Installation in your lodge, in front of the ocean (3 meals per day included). Discover the Guna community and its heavenly environment. The islands of the Archipelago are part of the greatest and most colorful region of the world. In the morning, relax on the beaches. The crystalline water of the Caribeen is perfect to swim of snorkel. In the afternoon, visit of the village and boat excursion.

Day 6 :

EL VALLE DE ANTON, PROVINCE OF COCLE : tradition and folklore After breakfast, leave the Archipelago to reach Panama City by plane. Transfer in a private car to reach the Province of Coclé (3 hours), more precisely El Valle de Anton, located in the heart of the crater of a extinct volcano, at 600m high. Visit of the village and its craft and local products market, then visit the El Nispero botanical and zoological garden, a nursing center for animals in need. You can see rare kind of species, like the Godlen Frog. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, discover the mountain landscapes of Coclé. On the way, you wil make a stop in the small typical village of La Pintada to admire the wide selection of Panama hats from different part of the country and the folk men costume, the Montuno. Also visit a cigar manufactory (only during the week), where every cigar is handmade with tobacco coming from the Province of Chiriqui. Arrival at your otel in Panama City in late afternoon. Free diner.
